Dr. Luca Gobbato
Dr. Luca Gobbato is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. For over 10 years, he has been a member of the faculty at Harvard University in Boston, within the Department of Oral Medicine, Infection, and Immunity, specializing in Periodontology. He serves as the Co-director of the Periodontology III course. In 2018, he received the AAP Educator Award in recognition of his teaching contributions at Harvard University. Dr. Gobbato is a member of the peer review panel and serves as an editorial consultant for the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry.
He is a visiting professor at the University of Padua, where he teaches Periodontology II in the undergraduate dental program and serves as a tutor in the Master of Implantology program.
Dr. Gobbato earned his dental degree and prosthetic dentistry specialization from the University of Padua. He obtained a Certificate of Advanced Education in Periodontology from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston after completing a three-year program. At the same institution, he earned a Master of Science (MS) in Periodontology, conducting clinical and histological research on bioactive implant surfaces and their role in the osseointegration process.
Dr. Gobbato earned his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the International University of Catalonia (UIC) in Barcelona after a four-year research program. He is an active member of the Academy of Osseointegration (AO) and the Italian Academy of Osseointegration (IAO), where he also serves as a member of the scientific committee. Additionally, he is a member of the Italian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (IAED), a Certified and Active Member of the Italian Society of Periodontology (SIdP), and a Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP).
Dr. Gobbato is a presenter at national and international conferences and has authored and co-authored scientific publications. He limits his private practice to periodontology and implantology at his offices in Noventa Padovana (PD) and Vittorio Veneto (TV).
