Getting the surgical and prosthetic protocol that suits the patient
The aim of the present presentation is to provide guidance in treatment plan-ning and therapeutic decisions.
We have developed an original ‘Clinical Screening Template’ (CST) based on 10 points. It leads subsequently to a Decision Tree Template (DTT) that is useful at determining the optimal Surgical & Prosthetic (S & P) 4D pro-tocol that specifically suits the patient.
Various cases and treatment indications will be showed, e.g. how to treat the esthetic anterior area and the to-be-edentulous patient.
The first step is to define when an immediate implant placement protocol is possible and when it is not. The second is to determine, at the bone tissue level, what are the handling steps that are required to optimize the esthetic results. The third one is to determine, at the soft tissue level, what are the required handling steps. The fourth and last step is to define the type of tem-porization that will be implemented: fixed implant-supported, fixed tooth-supported, removable soft tissue-supported or none.
